| I first had a prostate microwaving in 2005 that did nothing for me. I was advised by Dr. Shah that I needed a TRANSURETHRAL RESECTION OF THE PROSTATE or TURP for "definitive" therapy of prostate enlargement. I first had that in August of 2006 & it made me WORSE. 3 weeks later I had a second one that only put me back to where I had been and 3 months after that, a 3rd TURP that made no improvement. I was left with near total ANORGASMIA or orgasmic sensatin loss and developed Peyronie's Disease that has been far worse than any of my urinary problems were. I was never warned that either of those were possible complications of the operations he did. I complained of testicular pain that he explained away as just infection--turned out to be an inquinal hernia that required near emergency surgery to fix by another physician.. When I was first operated on I did not have an adeqauate spinal. I felt his instruments go inside me and the cutting/resection of tissue begin before I was "knocked out" for the remainder of the operation. I developed bladder neck constricture that necessitated another operation in Birmingham at UAB to fix that problem, that resulted from the 3 failed TURPS. He never offered to help me find anyone who knew more about my condition than he did and NEVER said he was sorry for all my probelms that resulted from his 3 operations...I was a FOOL to have not gotten a 2nd opinion before ANY of the operations he did on me and certainly before I agreed to the 2nd or 3rd ones. You MUST get a second opinion if a procedure like I had is proposed for you! | |||

| I had FOUR major procedures by this urologist and NONE of them worked on me. I ended up WORSE than I was to begin with.....AVOID! | |||
